Planning Coordinator and Strategic Planner
Moyne shire Council is now seeking to appoint a Planning Coordinator and a Strategic Planner within the directorate of Environment, Economy and Place.
The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate sound working knowledge of the Victorian Planning Provisions and associated planning legislation. The Planning Coordinator will be responsible for leading a team of Statutory Planners.
A recognised tertiary qualification in town planning or a related discipline is required with experience relevant highly desirable (preferably three years).
Graduate Planners are encouraged to apply for the Strategic Planner role.
These positions are Permanent Full Time, flexible work arrangements will be considered.

About the roles
To help us shape the municipality in 2024 and beyond, we are looking for a passionate and energetic Senior Statutory Planner to play an important role in the delivery of planning services and the continued success of our team.
As a Senior Statutory Planner, you will help to deliver positive planning outcomes across a large and unique landscape that includes activity centres, state-significant agricultural and industrial land, and suburbs and townships with unique character and values.
Importantly, you will work within a supportive and collaborative team environment where your passion for achieving great planning outcomes, business improvements and personal development is encouraged and fostered.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Managing a diverse caseload of ACG次元网 permit applications, including large-scale and complex proposals.
- Preparing submissions and representing Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
- Mentoring and guiding staff members to ensure the continued achievement of high-quality outcomes and personal development.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- A sound knowledge and understanding of statutory ACG次元网 processes, including planning-related legislation.
- An ability to clearly and concisely communicate information and advice in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to research and analyse information and prepare concise reports and recommendations.
- Ability to effectively plan, organise and manage your own time and workload, including achieving specific outcomes within set timeframes against conflicting priorities
- A relevant tertiary qualification in planning or a related discipline
